Tours of The Hall

Price: £15.00 per person

JOIN US FOR A GUIDED TOUR INSIDE OF THE HALL
We are thrilled to be opening The Hall to visitors through our special guided tour days taking place each month.
Step inside the historic Jacobean Hall to learn about the history of the estate, those who lived there and its importance to Bradford on Avon’s heritage.
TOUR INFORMATION
Tours last approximately 1 hour. You will visit a selection of rooms in The Hall. Your tour will offer an introductory history of the site from The Hall family in the 1600s to the Moulton rubber industry through to modern day and the efforts of the Alex Moulton Charitable Trust to preserve the site.
Please arrive at the Mill Lane gate 10 minutes before your tour is due to begin.
Due to the building’s Grade I listing, we are unable to accommodate wheelchair users inside of The Hall: there are 4 steps to access the downstairs rooms, and 33 steps via a wooden staircase to the upstairs rooms. Space inside of the rooms is tight therefore the use of walking aids such as large frames will not be possible.
There is no parking onsite at The Hall. We recommend making use of Bradford on Avon’s public car parks or using public transport where possible. The train station is 0.4 miles from the Mill Lane gate.
There is a toilet inside The Hall.
The grounds of The Hall are not open to the public on these events. Visitors with tour bookings will only be able to access a small area of the grounds after their tour has finished.
Dogs are not allowed on tour days.
Whilst children are allowed on tours, we advise visitors that the tours have been designed for an adult audience.
There is a maximum of 16 people per tour.
Cancellations more than a week in advance will be refunded less a £2.50 admin fee. Cancellations made with a week (or less) notice will not be eligible for a refund.

FINDING US
Entrance is via the Mill Lane gate only.
Mill Lane gate can be found halfway up/down Mill Lane and is a grey door in the stone wall. A representative of the Alex Moulton Charitable Trust will be there to greet you before each tour begins, wearing a hi-vis jacket. Mill Lane can be accessed on foot from Woolley Street or Kingston Road. It is a one-way street and there is no space for parking or passenger drop offs on the lane.
